Both of these books are worth a read, or perhaps, either of these books is worth a read. They're essentially the same book, right down to the insect-in-a-pitcher-plant analogy, with the goal of bringing to light and de-bunking our unconscious associations of alcohol with glamour, confidence, serenity, and sex. Neither is the "easy" cure-all it purports to be, but both help to reframe the question from "Do I have to stop drinking?" to, "Do I have to drink?" Both are available in all the formats including audio. I have no commercial interests in these or anything else you can buy.
